Kinvara Tidy Towns – Litter Picking

We promote within our Community, our youth groups, signage and on our social media, the principles of “Leave no Trace” and “Love this Place”. You can check out the “Leave no Trace” website for principles and tips by Clicking Here

Litter picking is completed by many members of our community.  From simple two minute street cleans everyday, litter picking by our Litter Squad and clean ups by citizens where they live within the village and the wider area surrounding Kinvara.

Our schedule for Litter Picking is as follows

2. Two minute cleans promoted within and outside our Schools and Businesses.
3. Approach road spring cleans up to and past speed signs as part of the “An Taisce Spring clean program”.
4. Weekly inspections and maintenance of our village Bottle Bank.
5. Litter picks and roads maintenance within zones across our village and approach roads.
6. Beach cleans litter picks are completed through out the year including New Years day, May Bank holiday and our Big Beach clean in September each year.
7. Townlands litter picking support – we provide litter pickers, gloves and bags to our community to clean up where they live.
