FINAL CHANCE TO MAKE YOUR LETTER COUNT

This is VERY important – it cannot be stressed how important this is. We are not only asking but urging people to sign and send off a letter to Charlie McConalogue, current Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine.

The site in question is a highly sensitive ecosystem protected as a Special Area of Conservation (SAC Site Code 000268), a Special Protection Area (Inner Galway Bay SPA IE0004031) and a European Natura 2000 site.

This area must be protected as an “Area of Outstanding Natural Biodiversity” What would be lost, potentially for ever is staggering. The area supports levels of Birds, Mammals and Aquatic life that is hard to find elsewhere in Ireland.

We need to stop and think, really think, what we are doing to the planet and the consequences for Wildlife and future Generations.
