A MESSAGE FROM AUGHINISH COMMUNITY GROUP.

A Chara,

We are writing to request your support for our campaign to stop the development of a 26 acre Aquaculture Farm in the centre Aughinish Bay part of Inner Galway Bay. We are also inviting you to a public meeting about the development to be held on March 1st at 8.30pm in Seamount College (Main hall near the front office – side entrance).

Check out photo of info sheet giving full details of the proposed Aquaculture Farm and the damage it will cause to this special area. You can request a pre-written letter that we would ask you to consider sending to the Minister to object to an application for a Foreshore Licence. Please feel free to add to the letter if there are any further observations you might like to include! Please forward this email and attachments to as many of your friends and family – ask them to sign and forward to their circle!

There are a number of ways people can get the signed letter into the Department to be counted. PLEASE RETURN IT BEFORE MARCH 8TH – THE CLOSING DATE IS MARCH 9TH. ANY LETTERS OR OBJECTIONS SENT AFTER MARCH 9TH WILL BE DISREGARDED. OBJECTIONS WITHOUT NAMES AND ADDRESSES WILL BE DISREGARDED.

The options for getting the letter to the Minister are:
