Sustainability Development Goals (SDG) awareness campaign series – Episode 3

We would like to share with you a short video of the people from our community who took part in planting Native trees in and around the village in the last few years. You have all done such a magnificent job in increasing the Biodiversity of the area, including adding All Ireland Pollinator compliance.

A big thank you to the Galway County Council and the Galway County Biodiversity Office for their support. A shout out of appreciation too to Burrenbeo Trust for supporting our group with Biodiversity training in 2020 – 2021.

Finally the biggest shout out to the Kinvara Ballinderreen Tree Gang who we have partnered with to plant trees in the Kinvara area. Ye totally rock with planting and facilitating over 9k native trees being planted. Of which 280 native trees have been planted in the village since 2022 by Kinvara Tidy Towns and Seamount College in 2023. Our Kinvara Earthkeepers in 2024 from Northampton NS and St St. Joseph’s NS have planted 100 native trees in March.
